Looking for a jeans and flats outfit that feels a little more put together? Start with a striped top, a white shirt or a blazer you already own.
These looks include little bow flats, colorful Mary Janes and loafers, plus a low-heeled slingback pairing worth borrowing for its colors.
You can keep things simple or add a little shine. I especially love the silver shoes and bright red straps.
Sometimes changing your shoes is all you need to try a different version of your favorite jeans.
Jeans and flats outfit ideas to save
black bows and a gathered top
We’re starting off strong with this simple black top and blue jeans combination. I love the gathered detail at the waist and the little bows on the ballet flats.
Pair ankle-length jeans with a small black bag to follow this look. There’s no need to add much else.
stripes and frayed hems
How cute is this striped top? The loose fit looks so good with cropped jeans and black bow flats.
Those frayed hems give the outfit a slightly different finish.

Try a little front tuck like the one here rather than tucking in the whole top.
tan blazer and matching straps
This blazer may just be one of my favorites here. I love the tan Mary Janes with the longer jacket and big brown bag.

If your “flats outfit jeans” collection needs a dressier option, save this one. A white tee underneath keeps the combination simple.
shoulder tie and boat shoes
Don’t want to wear ballet flats? No problem! Try brown boat shoes with straight blue jeans and a striped button-front shirt.
The brown sweater tied over the shoulders is such a pretty extra touch. Roll your shirt sleeves up if you want to show off a few bracelets too.
white shirt and black flats
If you are looking for something simple to put together, this one is for you. A white shirt tucked into blue jeans looks lovely with black ballet flats.
I especially like the dark brown shoulder bag instead of another black accessory.
taupe cardigan and wide legs
I love this taupe cardigan over the white tee. The light-blue jeans are long and wide, with a dark shoe just peeking out beneath one hem.

Keep the cardigan partly buttoned to show your belt underneath. The little gold-tone pendant is a lovely finishing detail.
bright red straps
I am obsessed with these red flats. They’re so cute with the pale blue shirt, plus that red-and-white hair accessory is adorable.
The shoes have an open pattern across the toes and a single red strap. Keep this in your “flats outfit ideas jeans” collection if you want to try brighter accessories without changing your whole outfit.
leopard shoes and dark jeans
The leopard-print fans are going to love this! Instead of plain ballet flats, there are patterned Mary Janes with black straps.
I love the dark cropped jeans with the white shirt. Add a brown belt and matching tote if you want to follow the same combination.
burgundy vest and glossy shoes
How pretty is this burgundy pairing? The high-neck vest sits over a white blouse, with glossy red-burgundy Mary Janes below the cropped jeans.
The little side ties on the vest are my favorite detail. I’d keep those visible rather than covering them with a jacket.
gray layers and leopard points
This is another lovely way to wear leopard print, though the slingbacks here have a small heel rather than a flat sole. I love how the patterned belt matches the pointed shoes.

white jeans and beige straps
Don’t want to stick to blue jeans? No problem there! Try white cropped jeans with a black sleeveless top and beige Mary Janes.
The open pattern on the shoes is so pretty. The large tan bag adds another detail without bringing in a bright color.
wide cuffs and dotted flats
How cute are these dotted shoes? Not gonna lie, they’re my favorite part of this outfit!
The broad jean cuffs leave the black flats on show, while the white top has a little wavy hem.
navy blazer and white loafers
If you want a more dressed-up jeans look, then this one is for you. The navy blazer goes over a blue-and-white striped shirt, with white loafers and a pale belt.
Let the shirt cuffs show below your blazer sleeves. I love that little striped detail.
green flats and flared hems
The outfit on the right is such a pretty way to wear green flats. I love the ruffled white blouse and the wide, frayed ends of the cropped flares.
The black-and-cream patterned bag is worth keeping if you want an extra detail. The outfit on the left uses ankle boots rather than flats.
pale blue and beige bows
This is a similar blue-shirt idea to the one above with red shoes, but it’s a little different as well. The shirt is worn open over a white tank, with dark jeans and pale beige bow flats.

I love those squared-off toes peeking out below the long hems.
long trench and black loafers
If you’re looking for a layered outfit without lots of color, go with this tan trench, black top and cropped blue jeans. The black loafers have little gold-tone details across the front.
A large brown clutch finishes the look. I’d leave the coat open just like this.
silver square-toe straps
I am obsessed with these silver Mary Janes. The square toes and thin straps look so pretty with the loose light-blue jeans.
Pair yours with a white button-front shirt. Don’t forget a silver-tone cuff if you want to pick up the shine of the shoes.
charcoal and little black bows
Don’t want to go overboard with accessories? No problem!
Try this charcoal sweater, dark wide-leg jeans and glossy black bow flats. I love the little white neckline peeking out above the sweater.
gathered blouse and brown laces
This white blouse is just too pretty not to save. The square neckline, button front and gathered sections give you plenty of detail without adding a pattern.
Loose blue jeans and brown boat shoes keep the rest casual. Try a brown-trimmed bucket bag if you like the one shown here.
beige vest and pale jeans
Last but definitely not least, we have this cute beige vest outfit. I love the V-neck over the plain white tee!
The pale straight-leg jeans stop just above the black loafers. Add a few gold-tone bangles if you want that same little touch of shine.
