Looking for leggings work outfits that go beyond an oversized tee? Long blazers, white shirts and little pointed shoes give you plenty to try.
These looks include simple black leggings, stirrup styles and a couple of trouser outfits worth borrowing details from.
You can keep things casual or dress them up a little. Just check your workplace dress code first, especially for the sporty combinations.
I especially love the long shirts and loafers!
Outfit ideas with leggings, layers and simple accessories
black blazer and white sneakers
We’re starting off strong with this black blazer and white tee combo. The black leggings keep things simple while the chunky white sneakers match the little shoulder bag.
If you want to go a step further, add oversized gold-tone hoops like the ones here.
long cardigan and loafers
If you are looking for something simple to put together, this one is for you. A long beige cardigan sits over a white V-neck top and black leggings.
I love the little gold-tone details on the black loafers. Keep those and the round pendant if you’re recreating this look.
tall boots and a beige turtleneck
This is one of my favorite leggings outfits for work. The beige turtleneck looks so good under the long black blazer, especially with the cuffs peeking out.
Try tall black boots over your leggings to follow the same combination.
white collar and beige layers
How cute is that white collar peeking out? The shirt also shows below the beige sweater, with a black blazer over both.

The cap, white socks and gray sneakers take this in a sporty direction. For a less casual version, I’d skip the cap and choose loafers.
cream sweater and chunky boots
Don’t want to add a blazer? No problem!
Try this oversized cream sweater with black leggings and chunky black ankle boots. I love the wide turned-up cuffs.

The white socks and black headband are cute little extras you could keep too.
gray vest and split hems
This is another pretty way to layer a high-neck top. The pale gray V-neck vest sits over black sleeves, with black split-hem bottoms and white sneakers below.
The little brown checked bag is my favorite detail here. It gives you a bit of pattern without changing the whole outfit.
tan trench and two-tone flats
I am obsessed with these little two-tone flats. The tan flats with black toe caps look so pretty beside the black stirrup leggings and long tan trench.
Keep the top black if you want the same simple combination. The large black shoulder bag finishes it off.
checked blazer and blue shirt
Want to make a leggings outfit work with pieces you already own? Start with a long button-front shirt and loafers, like this blue-and-brown combination.
I love the brown checked blazer draped over the shoulders. The stirrup leggings leave the tops of the brown loafers showing.
navy layers and a pale trench
The navy and beige pairing is so cute in this look. A navy top and leggings sit under the pale trench, with another navy layer draped over the shoulders.
For a dressier variation on this sporty combination, try a plain navy blouse and closed-toe flats instead of the sneakers and white socks.

white shirttail and dark flats
I love this dark sweater with the white shirttail showing underneath. The stirrup leggings and dark flats keep the rest of the outfit simple.
That large burgundy shoulder bag is such a pretty addition. I’d keep it rather than matching every accessory to the leggings.
camel coat and cream sweater
If you’re looking for an outfit without lots of accessories, go with this camel coat, cream sweater and black leggings combination. The raised pattern down the sweater is such a lovely detail.

Finish yours with black ankle boots like these.
long white shirt and gold toes
How pretty are those gold-colored toe caps? They’re my favorite part of this white shirt and black leggings look.
Try a long button-front shirt with the sleeves pushed up. The pointed slingback heels give you a dressier alternative to the sneakers elsewhere on this list.
floral layer and a red top
If you want a little more color, then this one is for you. The red top picks up the pink and red flowers on the loose black outer layer.
I love the long pendant and shiny pointed pumps. Keep your leggings plain black to follow this combination.
brown poncho and white cuffs
This is a different way to wear your white shirt. The collar and cuffs show beneath a brown poncho-style top with a wide dark border.
The slim black bottoms have a glossy finish, with black ankle boots below. Try a large taupe bag if you like the brown and black mix here.
olive top and white pants
How cute is this olive top? I love the gathered seam and longer flared hem with the slim white pants and tan sandals.
Try the same olive-and-white pairing with white leggings if you want your own version. I’d keep the longer top.
belted blazer and pointed boots
I am obsessed with this all-black outfit. The blazer ties at the waist above glossy black leggings, with a high-neck top underneath.
The pointed boots and structured handbag are worth keeping if you want the same dressed-up look. You don’t need to add another color.
short patterned jacket and white heels
This little patterned jacket may just be a favorite. I love the big gold-tone buttons beside the plain white top.
The black slim bottoms have stirrup-style ends above pointed white heels. Try a small black bag and a narrow belt to follow the details here.
rust sweater and leopard headband
Don’t want to go overboard with patterns? No problem!
A leopard-print headband adds a little something to this rust-colored sweater and black leggings.
The long V-neck sweater and pointed black ankle boots are already a cute pairing. I’d keep the pendant necklace too.
navy stripes and cropped trousers
I love this navy sweater with its wide white stripes. The cropped wide-leg trousers leave the silver-colored shoes on show. Such a pretty finishing touch!

Try the striped sweater and shiny shoes with black leggings if you want to borrow a few details from this look.
gray blazer and a red detail
Last but definitely not least, we have this oversized gray blazer with black collar details. I love the little red triangle at the chest pocket!
The white tee, black leggings and gray sneakers keep the rest casual. Carry a beige clutch like this one if you want something different from a black shoulder bag.
