20 Fall Mums Decor Ideas and Seasonal Flower Displays

Looking for fall mums decor ideas for your porch or a little corner indoors? Orange blooms, basket planters and pumpkin-filled displays give you plenty to choose from.

There are also a few coordinating fall accents here, though not every picture features mums.

You can keep things simple with one pretty pot or go all out with a flower-filled cart. I especially love the burgundy and yellow combinations.

Start with your favorite colors, then see which arrangement fits your space.

Fall flower displays worth saving

orange blooms and cream pots

We’re starting off strong with these gorgeous orange and burgundy mums flowers. I love the tall cream pot behind the smaller ones, especially with those green and orange pumpkins beside it.

Try grouping your pots at different heights like this. Keep the arrangement to one side so you still have room to use the steps.

a colorful desk bouquet

How pretty is this bouquet? The big pink, orange and cream flowers look so lovely against the white desk.

Those long green stems are part of the display too.

Choose a clear vase if you want to follow this look. You don’t need pumpkins in every little fall corner.

a pumpkin-filled porch tub

If you are looking for a display with lots of little details, then this one is for you. There are yellow flowers, colorful leaves, berry-like accents and a big orange pumpkin right in the middle.

I especially love the leaf garland along the white railing. Try repeating a few of those leaf colors around your own planter.

white mums and trailing ivy

This window box may just be one of my favorites here. I love the white mums beside the little pale pumpkins.

The orange pumpkin in the middle is such a pretty extra touch.

Let trailing ivy hang below the flowers if you want to try the same arrangement.

little white pumpkins

Don’t want every decoration to be a flower arrangement? This picture shows small white pumpkins being placed inside a tall clear vessel.

For your own version, a separate little vase of burgundy mums beside it would be pretty.

orange mums along the path

I love these orange flowers beside the big pumpkin with its long stem. Pink-red blooms and pale pumpkins continue farther along the path.

If you want to keep your fall decorating simple, try this alternating mix of flowers and pumpkins. Leave the walking space clear between your displays.

a wheelbarrow full of fall

How cute is this wheelbarrow display? The yellow and deep red mums sit at the back, with orange pumpkins and one white pumpkin tucked in front.

Surround your own pumpkins with red and yellow leaf decorations to follow this look. That little border of leaves is worth keeping.

burgundy and cream wreath

This is another pretty way to bring fall flowers to your entrance. The wreath mixes cream blooms, ruffled burgundy flowers and orange sunflower shapes with lots of green leaves.

I’d borrow these colors for pots of mums below the door.

rust and blush flowers

I am obsessed with this color combination. The rust-orange flowers look gorgeous beside the cream and dusty pink roses, with little yellow accents scattered between them.

For a mum-centered version, ask for orange mums mixed with roses in these softer shades. Keep the rounded arrangement if you love the look here.

three baskets of orange

If you are looking for something simple to arrange, this one is for you. Orange mums fill three pale baskets beside the dark front door.

Raise the back basket on a small stand like the one shown here. The different basket shapes give you plenty of detail without adding anything else.

mums beside the mantel

This is actually one of my favorite indoor ideas. The orange mums sit in a handled basket on the bench, with a pale speckled pumpkin resting on the books in front.

I love the brown leaf garland above the fireplace too. You could borrow just the basket-and-pumpkin pairing for a smaller room.

pink blooms in a shallow bowl

How sweet are these pale pink flowers? Their dark pink centers look so pretty in the shallow clear bowl, with smaller lavender blooms tucked between them.

Try a low flower display like this if you’d rather skip a tall vase on your table.

a flower-filled garden cart

If you want to go all out, there’s plenty to love here. Orange, yellow and pink mums fill the cart around a central pumpkin, with purple leafy rosettes tucked between the flowers.

The trailing greenery over the sides is my favorite part. Leave some of your cart visible so that big wheel stays part of the display.

red mums and leafy branches

These red mums look so pretty in their baskets. I love the taller arrangement of autumn leaves beside the rounded flowers, especially those red and orange branches.

Set a few pale pumpkins nearby if you want to follow this porch. You can keep the rest of the entrance simple.

a colorful front garden

Can’t choose just one flower color? This garden gives you plenty of reasons not to.

Lavender, orange, yellow, white and burgundy blooms fill the curved bed beside the porch.

The pumpkins near the steps are a cute finishing touch. I’d keep them at the edge like this rather than scatter them through every flower grouping.

small vases of rounded blooms

These little arrangements are so pretty, especially the deep red flowers beside the peach and orange ones. The rounded blooms appear to be dahlias rather than mums.

You could borrow the small-vase arrangement and autumn colors for your own cut mums.

yellow mums on a pale stand

The yellow flower fans are going to love this! A big mound of mums sits on a pale green stand, with pumpkins gathered on the stand and around its base.

I especially love the little green and white pumpkins mixed among the orange ones. The bale base gives the whole arrangement another level.

a hanging floral frame

This hexagonal frame holds tiny pale flowers and thin branching stems. I love how the little flowers spread across the clear center.

You could hang a similar piece near a small fall bouquet for another floral touch.

mums with a leafy border

I am obsessed with this colorful flower bed. The white, yellow, orange, red and pink mums look gorgeous together, especially beside those blue-green leafy rosettes with purple centers.

Try repeating a few flower colors through your own border instead of keeping every shade in a separate row.

a ladder of colorful pots

Last but definitely not least, we have this gorgeous ladder display. I love the orange and yellow mums on the middle shelf, with burgundy flowers below and more pots gathered around the bottom.

For your own version, use a secured display ladder with shelves designed to support the pots. Keep the mixed pot colors if you like this less-matching look.
